Organisation

Hyline Club consists of two parts. One is the organization that manages the park, clubhouse, individual court rentals, and events. The other is the association TV Loosdrecht. TV Loosdrecht has traditionally been a tennis club (since 1980) and added padel activities in 2024. Membership at TV Loosdrecht can be a combo membership or tennis-only. Through TV Loosdrecht, you’re always connected to the KNLTB, which means you can take part in tournaments and national competitions.

At Hyline Club, several members are actively involved in making sure everything runs smoothly. We’re happy to introduce them here.

Confidential Advisor

Preventing unwanted behavior is an important priority. That’s why Hyline Club has appointed two confidential contact persons (abbreviated as VCP - Vertrouwenscontactpersoon): Mathilde de Oude and Hans Molenaar. A VCP is an independent person appointed by the club with three main tasks:

  • Support for members who experience unwanted behavior and want to talk to someone about it.
  • Referral and advice, and providing support where needed.
  • Advising the board on developing policies and ensuring they are properly implemented.

FAQ

What is undesirable behavior?

There are several definitions, but the following gives a good impression:

Undesirable behavior is any form of (sexual) behavior or (sexual) approach—verbal, non-verbal, or physical—intentional or unintentional, that is experienced by the person undergoing it as unwanted or forced.

“To put it simply: any behavior that you feel is not right and/or doesn’t feel good. And that can be a lot, depending on your own experience.”

What happens if you have a complaint or problem?

The most common approach is to contact one of our confidential advisors by phone. Mathilde can be reached at 06-46 333 244 and Hans at 06-24 389 845. An appointment will be scheduled with you as soon as possible.

During the conversation, you’ll be given space to share your story. The confidential advisor will then guide you—depending on what you want to do next. We do not investigate whether a story is true, as we are not allowed to conduct fact-finding. Your story is our starting point. Sometimes a situation is serious enough that we advise you to report it to a specific person, organization, board, or committee. But you decide what happens.

The  confidential advisor is generally bound by confidentiality. “Generally,” because Hans and Mathilde are required to report criminal offenses to the appropriate authorities. They can support you through that process.

You might immediately think of serious crimes, and that’s possible—but inappropriate jokes, bullying, ignoring, name-calling, hitting, discriminatory remarks, unwanted touching, and so on are also forms of undesirable behavior.

Is the confidential advisor also there for the person being complained about?

Absolutely! The confidential advisor is independent and does not judge. They provide initial support, offer advice, and refer you to the appropriate channels if needed.

What should you do if you have a complaint but don’t want to speak with your club’s confidential advisor?

Hyline Club has appointed Hans and Mathilde as confidential advisors. You can choose which of them you’d prefer to speak with. If you’d rather not speak with either, you can contact the national reporting point of NOC*NSF at 0900-2025590.

For guidance in case of a report, Hyline Club refers to the model reporting protocol developed by the Association of Dutch Volunteer Organizations (Vereniging Nederlandse Organisaties Vrijwilligerswerk).
