Our Code of Conduct

At Hyline Club and TV Loosdrecht, sportsmanship and a friendly atmosphere come first. We’re a family club where everyone—young or old, Dutch or international, male or female—feels at home. Mutual respect is key. Our club follows these rules of conduct:

General Code of Conduct
  • Play fair: Stick to the rules of padel and tennis—it keeps the game fun for everyone.
  • No drama: Physical or verbal aggression? That’s not acceptable.
  • No smoking indoors: Smoking is not allowed inside the clubhouse.
  • No drugs on club grounds: The use or possession of drugs on our premises is strictly prohibited. If caught, you will be immediately removed from the grounds and this may result in termination of your membership.
  • Alcohol in moderation: Enjoy a drink, but don’t overdo it. Under 18? Then no alcohol at all.
  • Respect volunteers: There are people who make it possible for you to train, play matches, and join activities. Give them the respect they deserve!

On the court – how we keep it fun
  • Wear your sports outfit: Padel and tennis clothing and shoes are the standard.
  • Use the gate: Enter and exit the court via the gate, and close it properly behind you.
  • Racket ≠ frisbee: Don’t throw your racket—just keep it in your hands.
  • Ball on another court? Wait until the rally is over, call out “ball over,” and wait for them to return it. Don’t go get it yourself.
  • Play fair: Know the rules, play sportively, and if in doubt—just replay the point.
  • No glass on the court: Keep dishes and glassware in the clubhouse.
  • Clean up after yourself: Take everything with you after playing—including your trash.
  • Wet weather? Check first: Only play if there are no puddles or if the court committee gives the green light.
  • Dragging the tennis court = teamwork: Drag the tennis court after playing and hang the drag net back properly.
During matches – how we keep it fair
  • Respect everyone: Treat your opponents and teammates the way you’d like to be treated.
  • Referee decides: You don’t always have to agree, but accept the decision of the referee and match committee.
  • Leaving the court = forfeiting: If you leave the court during a match, you forfeit the game.
  • Stay sportsmanlike: Even if your opponent behaves unsportingly, keep your own conduct respectful.
  • Speak kindly: If you notice unsporting behavior, address it calmly. If that doesn’t help, you can contact the tournament organizers.
  • Win with style, lose with pride: Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat.
  • Shake hands afterwards: A handshake after every match—even a friendly one—is part of the game.
  • Also at other clubs: These rules apply when representing Hyline Club and TV Loosdrecht at other venues too.
For parents & guardians – together we keep it fun
  • Encourage your child: Show your enthusiasm and promote sportsmanship.
  • Fun comes first: Your child participates because it’s enjoyable—keep that in mind.
  • Cheering is fine, coaching is not: Leave the guidance to the trainer or supervisor.
  • Stay sportsmanlike, even in defeat: Fair play matters—it’s still just a game.
  • Referee decides: Even if you see it differently, respect the decision.
  • Want to help or contribute? Great! Sign up as a volunteer.
  • You remain responsible: Even during club activities, you are responsible for your child’s behavior.

Alcohol – just to be clear
  • Beer or wine? Allowed from 12:00 PM, but only for those aged 18 and over. Spirits? Only for 21+.
  • Stay on the terrace or in the clubhouse: That’s where you can enjoy your drink—not elsewhere on the premises.
  • Bringing your own drinks? Preferably not. Drinking on the premises is only allowed with drinks from the bar.
  • Bar staff decide: They always have the right to decide whether or not to serve alcohol.
  • Had too much and causing trouble? You’ll be kindly but firmly asked to leave the clubhouse.
  • No alcohol during youth supervision: Trainers, supervisors, and youth leaders must stay sober while on duty.
  • Drivers stay sober: If you’re transporting players, don’t drink alcohol.
  • Unclear age? We’ll ask for ID: No ID = no alcohol.
If you don’t follow the rules

We expect everyone to behave respectfully. But if that doesn’t happen, board members, committee members, or trainers have the right to address your behavior. If you continue to act inappropriately, they may ask you to leave the court.

In extreme cases, your membership may be terminated—and in that case, you won’t receive a refund.
